I had this perfect dream
Un sueño me envolvió
This dream was me and you
Tal vez estás aquí
I want all the world to see
Un instinto me guiaba
A miracle sensation
My guide and inspiration
Now my dream is slowly coming true

The wind is a gentle breeze
Él me habló de ti
The bells are ringing out
El canto vuela
They're calling us together
Guiding us forever
Wish my dream would never go away

Barcelona it was the first time that we met
Barcelona how can I forget
The moment that you stepped into the room you took my breath away
Barcelona la música vibró
Barcelona y ella nos unió
And if God willing we will meet again, someday

Let the songs begin
Déjalo nacer
Let the music play
Ah
Make the voices sing
Nace un gran amor
Start the celebration
Ven a mí
And cry
Grita
Come alive
Vive
And shake the foundations from the skies
Ah, ah, shaking all our lives

Barcelona such a beautiful horizon
Barcelona like a jewel in the sun
Por ti seré gaviota de tu bella mar
Barcelona suenan las campanas
Barcelona abre tus puertas al mundo
If God is willing
If God is willing
If God is willing
Friends until the end
Viva, Barcelona

this os one of my fav songs - im surprised more ppl havent commented on it! written in one night with freddie and monserrat caballe beside a piano. thought it was a very fitting tribute that it was played as the theme of the 1992 olympics. its just a brilliant song, her voice is awesome too.

OK, it's on Greatest hits III, but can this actually be classed as a Queen song? Did Brian, Roger and John play a part in it?

I'm not sure about this song i know that Brian and John had parts on a few songs. Everyone comes down hard on GH3 for containing solo works by the guys (there are some Brian and Roger solo stuff as well) But a greatest hits album is designed to get you familiar and acquainted with a group so you can then go out and get the actual albums that are represented by the singles. And this greatest hits 3 represents where Queen was at that point in time, and i must say i've gotten the Album Barcelona because of this, not to mention Hot Space (because of Las Palabras de Amor).

However, this song in particular just seems to be a simple love duet about lovers meeting in the title city, perhaps one was a tourist...

I implore people to listen to the Barcelona album in its entirety. It's a series of songs that tell a simple love story between a Rock star and a fan which comes to nothing. It is an extraordinarily beautiful piece of work which gives us a tantilising glimpse of what may have been had this incredibly talented man lived.

It's a nice song, not my favorite though...I think I'm still a bit too immature to appreciate opera! Well, I know that Freddie did this opera album with Monserrat Caballe and he wrote this song with Mike Moran when Monserrat asked Freddie to write a song about her home village.

blasphem,y, this is trully a great album of pure vocal virtuosism. The fact it's not by Queen doesn't mean we should not explore more widely other song's from the album.

    My Interpretation

Track Barcelona is first of all an awesome melody. This is not really about the town of Barcelona but a tribute to Montserratt Caballe. Freddie truly loved this woman...no of course not sexually but they certainly shared a love.
Listening to the lyrics of the entire album I sense our Freddie Mercury venting is fears and praying to God for mercy and some comfort. Remember this magnificent man knew his time was ending soon.

Queen Greatest Hits 3, of course, was a cheap cash in.

As for the song, its good stuff. Even if Caballe had long since passed her peak. Freddie, of course, kept his beautiful voice right to the end.

Sadly, most of the album is throwaway filler.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
