I went to school in Olympia and everyone's the same
And so are you in Olympia and everyone's the same
We look the same, we talk the same
Baby, baby, baby, baby
Won't you please make me real oh no
Make me real oh no
Make me real oh no
Hurt me
I went to school with Calvin
Hey, hey, hey, hey
And what do you do with a revolution
I went to school in Olympia
Baby, baby, baby, baby
And everyone's the same
And so are you in Olympia
Won't you please make me real, make me sick
Make me real, make it stick
Make me real
Do it for the kids some more
Fascist sexists
I went to school in Olympia
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And so are you in Olympia and everyone's the same
We look the same, we talk the same
Baby, baby, baby, baby
Won't you please make me real oh no
Make me real oh no
Make me real oh no
Hurt me
I went to school with Calvin
Hey, hey, hey, hey
And what do you do with a revolution
I went to school in Olympia
Baby, baby, baby, baby
And everyone's the same
And so are you in Olympia
Won't you please make me real, make me sick
Make me real, make it stick
Make me real
Do it for the kids some more
Fascist sexists
I went to school in Olympia
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Listen to the Nirvana song "School."
It's the same concept. That song comments on how the lifestyle of Olympia was like high school.
Courtney, in this song, is making fun of how happy, healthy, soft, squishy and drug-free Olympia was, especially here: "I went to school with Calvin" that's a shot at K Records. Calvin hated her and she made fun of him all the time anyway.
"And what do you do with a revolution" Bikini Kill reference, anyone?
lol Olympia drug free.
lol Olympia drug free.
Pretty sure it's a Kathleen Hanna/Bikini Kill diss song.
i dont think she even went to school in olympia
evergreen state college is in olympia. it's known for being a "hippie" school.
this is a diss on riot grrrls, many of whom courtney love made life long enemies with. The members of the three major riot grrrl bands, Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, and Heavens to Betsy were students at Evergreen State College in Olympia, and were a big part of the Olympia music scene. I think Courtney Love is referring to their feminist song lyrics when she says "fascist sexist". the opening part of this where she messes up a few times is clearly a jab at the Riot Grrrl's musical abilities. She has the belief that Riot Grrrls don't know how to play their instruments, but she's a moron.
oh, and what Ridiculous said about Calvin
These lyrics are missing a whole lot of f-bombs...
hahahha
in awnser to kirsty72 question, no Kurt didn't really live under a bridge. he just made it up, i don't know why though. also this song is Rock star, but some of the lyrics are different so maybe its a early Rock star.
Kurt didn't actually live under the bridge. He just slept under the bridge for a night, two at the most.
