Good song. It was originally written in 1989 when the Band tried to get Bobby Kimball back as their singer. They recorded the song (released on the XX album) but after that Columbia/Sony intervened and Toto Fans had to endure Jean-Michel Byron as "singer". Joseph Williams (previous and current) singer of Toto released a version of the song with slightly different lyrics on one of his solo albums but i always thought that Goin' Home was about Kimball going back to Toto.
