Charming Side Of Drunk Lyrics
stay on the charming side of drunk
and leave without saying goodbye
sometimes i'm sentimental
if you know what i mean.
i can't stand the music
but i love the scene
we will always find ourselves in bars,
where it's always back to the tarot cards.
doing foolish things just to see
what change would bring.
no one's ever looking where they're going
no one's ever stepping aside
doing foolish things just to see
what change would bring.
you've had too many lovers and not enough friends,
i said to myself looking around the room.
i've had too many drinks and not enough dinner.
time to go soon.
every foolish thing i never tried.
every foolish thing i've called mine.
with age comes decadence, look here it comes.
doing foolish things just to see
what change would bring.
i gotta stay on the charming side of drunk
and leave without saying goodbye
if you don't want to go right now
well bye bye baby bye bye.
i wanted trouble, got it.
trying to move elegant
feeling so beat up.
doing foolish things just to see
what change would bring
every foolish thing i never tried.
every foolish thing i've called mine.
i'm staying on the charming side of drunk
and leaving without saying goodbye.
and leave without saying goodbye
sometimes i'm sentimental
if you know what i mean.

this is prolly my favorite song on 'just the best party.' sorta salsa beat, very very nice. oh, yeah... the lyrics are about drinking too much... sort of out of boredom. there ya go.
I get a little different message from this song... It's like getting older but not taking responsibility for it. Hiding your fear and your anger behind a haze of drink, but trying to maintain that fine line between being charmingly drunk and full blown blitzed, and using that state to try and manage the woes of your life.
ruining your life just to see it happen.
