She is explaining how her love life is like the rhythm of the night in that her lover comes and goes over and over. It could equally be the rhythm of the day however she is not happy about it and it is a dark topic. It is her fault.

She knows this will hurt him and this will ultimately hurt her, but she has decided to accept this is her life. She knows this will hurt him more as he is still alive inside so she begs him not to feel bad about this one more time.

This is the rhythm of her life.

I agree with you Evilcatdog. A lot of this music has been discarded as superficial dance garbage with no substance at all. I've just recently discovered that there's a lot more to these simple '90s rave/trance songs other than the purpose to make people jump up and down to a beat. An ongoing theme is this emptiness which this song resembles so well, which made me look up whether anyone else had this (what I thought was) a farfetched idea that this song resembles something deeper and extremely melancholic. All these songs from this era have this horrifically sad aftertaste, which makes perfect sense, really. Something superficially joyful with some subconscious notion that life sucks and we're all aware, seems like a perfectly appropriate way of communicating with lost souls on mdma.

This song and thousands of others are claimed to be written by Donald Marshall. Look him up. Says it was all done via rem conciousness transfer. Like what's coming out now on mainstream re: AI ect
