well let me start off by sayign this is one of the best spongs i have ever heard, as wella s one of the most beautiful. my inturpretation of this song is: this person has just gotten out of a relationship in which he has obviously been hurt badly, maybe his/her partner cheating, and the person finding(hence the "knowing nothing is better than knowing it all.") and as this happens he is looking around and see'ing that everyone around him are wasting their lives away and trying to convince himseld its b/c they are in relationships, but that doesnt quite work for he feels a great emptyness inside him without his partner. and now as he is thinking, he realizes that all of the thinking that he has done is pointless, for he has found no answer for what has happened. All he wants is to have his partner back in his life and hear her voice. and "without it all" representing the relationship he is choking on the nothingness he is feeling but he knows one thing for sure, he is reaching out for help but their is no answer from people. he would have rather not have known about what went on and went on living happiely than found out and known everything. but now he is alone and hurting with no one to go to, he is on his own..

Without it all I'm choking on nothing, meaning even with no reason for being depressed they are still "choking" or drowning in their depression and will always be screaming for something
Ack. So yeah, the first song I've posted without having the lyrics already writen out for me on a CD booklet or something. I hope I did allright.. Any way, this is another one of my ALL time favorites from their debut CD. It is probably their most beautiful songs in my opinion. Just shows how versatile this band really is. Definitely one of my favorite bands of 2002
