I did an interview with Quinn and this is his favorite song... and this is what he had to say about it:
“Blue and Yellow”. It’s about being close to someone but being totally different people on the inside. Its kind of a troublesome thing trying to share ideas and passions in that sense. I really relate to that song with my life. Sometimes I feel like I'm lost as a person, or that I want to disappear. I really wish sometimes I could find a friend that was on the same level as me and shared the same ambitions. The song really embraces finding meaning in your life and that’s something I am still trying to do.

I think the "true" meaning to this song goes beyond words. I agree with most of the other interpretations, but when looking at the bigger picture, I think this song is about LIVING and reveling in the existence of being human
