This is what I thought growing up,
In the corner of my room throwing up
Opinionated bastard the knowing-is-tough
They wonder why I’m crazy, I don’t know just cuz.
It must be the drugs keeping me down,
I’ve been gazing off and spacing out.
It’s probably your voice when you scream and shout
No doubt it’s my bad for throwing cuss words around.
And for this you lost it all,
But in the end I did too,
I sold my life for pretty things,
Sold my life just for you.
Think about the children, think about yourself,
I’m good enough alone, I don’t need your help
People who care have something to sell
If you don’t heed, you’re on a road to hell.
The old and the youth just want control,
To give up freedom is to lose your soul.
My parents prove this everyday and more
My past is evidence, I’m lonely lord.
And for this you lost it all,
But in the end I did too,
I sold my life for pretty things,
Sold my life just for you.
But this ain’t fiction, it’s as real as my skin
Not forgetting I’m miserable within
Loneliness ain’t the worst of my sins
But through the thick I still love them..
