I believe in Lyrics
I saw the news today
I teenage boy, blown away
another mother's lost her only son
he learned his way at school
fighting is, the golden rule
for twenty dollars you could own, a girl
I saw the words in red
someone painted love is dead
on a sign above the football field
i had to turn away
It hurts my soul to think that way
When Love's, What's real
'Cus i believe in, i believe in love
and i believe in, the miracles in us
and no matter what they say
They can never take away, what i believe in
What i believe in..
in 1942
a deamon army trampled through
every inch of her foot got in town
the family hid away
a secret place above decay
and they lived and breathed without a sound
she learned to write that year
with every scream she dare not hear
and every tortured soul she one day knew
one day the soldiers came, and marched her family
to the train, and left the darn boy, in the streets
and it read..
'Cus i believe in, i believe in love
and i believe in, the miracles in us
and no matter what they say
They can never take away, what i believe in
What i believe in..
Why is it that we can't help but look for a crack of light, in the darkest sky. when will we hope to understand, that through right and wrong..loves the only thing thats real.
so here we go again, fighting till the bitter end
better off to go our seperate ways
And as you slam the door i swear that i will love no more
but you can't believe a word i say
and that's right
'Cus i believe in, i believe in love
and i believe in, the miracles in us
and no matter what they say
They can never take away, what i believe in
What i believe in..

This is the best JLH song I have ever heard! I love the beat and the lyrics are just...well, you know. It's about being in love. How the girl believes in the couple and wants to stay together because she believes in love.
This song is one of her best (the only downside is that she didn't write it) however the song itself is about how love is real while hate, anger and fighting are wrong. The second verse is about Anne Frank, whose family was taken to a concentration camp by the Nazis during World War II. This is the first time I've heard a reference to the Holocaust and Anne Frank in a pop song.
