Stevie Nicks has never explained that song but I think the lyrics clearly says about witches issues. And she's singing about her stage persona and how some people thought she was a witch and treated her as a demon. I have read that Nicks got once a nasty letter from Catolic association. And she compares her situation with the other witches from the past that got killed because people unfairly thought they were evil and dangerous.
