Judgement Day Lyrics
Arr-heah!
It's my life. Get off my ass, get outta my face
Man, I don't see no problem
Kickin' back, ain't kickin' you, no no!
Anyway, if I make 'em, I'll solve 'em
Whoa, oh, ohh. That's right. Yeah yeah-yeah. Woo!
Makin' plan's a waste. Ain't no future here
Got no faith, got no religion
Oh tell me why (ooh-ooh) should I (ooh-ooh)
(Ahh) Care or even, why should I try?
I just slide slide on by (ooh-ooh)
(Ahh) Never bad enough to crucify me
Huah! Put it out until Judgement Day
I'll bear the cross on Judgement Day
I done most anything, keep 'em doin' anything 'cause
Sometimes I just wanna do nothin'
Nothin' lost, so tell me how can I lose? Ha
When I'm startin' off with nothin'
Oh tell me why (ooh-ooh) should I (ooh-ooh)
(Ahh) Care or even wanna try?
I just slide (ooh) slide on by (ooh-ooh)
(Ahh) Never bad enough to crucify me.
Ow! Put it off until Judgement Day
I'll bear that (same old cross) same ol' cross
On Judgement Day. Ow!
Uh! Uh!
Ow! Hey!
(Guitar Solo)
Woo!
Mmm
Hey man, everything's all right. Yeah.
Whow! Ow!
Put it off, until Judgement Day
I'll bear the cross, on, Judgement Day, hey
Put it off, put it off, until Judgement Day
I'll bear the (bear the cross) cross
On, Judgement Day
Ow! Whoa yeah! On Judgement Day
(Put it off) Oh! Whoa yeah! On Judgement Day, hey!
Wow!

All time favorite Van Hagar song. Well done live.
Brilliant live, I agree.
The moron who posted this song mispelled "judgment." That aside, this is one of the fastest songs on the F.U.C.K. album. It has an excellent, all-out critique on the growing christian conservative agenda of the time. It's what I like to think of as the third part of the band's trilogy on religion [Best of Both Worlds, Mine all Mine, Judgment Day]. Excellent working man's response to pushy religious leaders.
@doubledragon The person who posted this song spelled "Judgement" correctly, as the song is officially titled "Judgement Day". The "moron" who misspelled it is either a member of Van Halen or somebody at Warner Brothers.

Cut the guy some slack. The title of the song is spelt incorrectly on the CD itself: http://wm07.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:3pfoxq95ldte
Awesome song. Everything comes together really well, I especially love the "oooh-oooh" harmonies, and this is a great performance from Sammy. I'd be interested to hear Sammy's views on Christianity. There's sort of anti stuff like this and then there's a song like The Seventh Seal and Don't Tell Me that seem sympathetic to Christianity.
I think Sammy became more religious by the time they put out Balance. I know from interviews I've seen that the Waboritas (Sammy's solo band) have a prayer before their shows. I don't think Sammy gets caught up in the dogma of religion though. I'm just speculating, but I'd say his view is that you should enjoy life, but just remember that it is because of God.
