I think it's also about how society creates a culture where everything's geared towards consumption, whether you need it or not. Y'know, youre constantly told you can't live without sometihng till you actually can't.

I think this song speaks for itself, how business's mechanics, doctors, etc. More towards the not good ones, and they can get away with it. So there for they rip you off.
what i think this means is that a doctor is sort of like a mechanic, a mechanic will fix your car but he wants you to come back so he messes up something else, and a doctor will cure your sickness but what is used to cure it can cause a major sickness itself
You see it in the commercials(sp?) all the time, the drug/med commercials say they can cure your "disease" but come w/ a shit load of effects, like head aches and vomiting. they may "cure" one thing then screw you over w/ the side effects. and then there's the prices... same w/ a mechanic. they just wanna suck up the cash and have you coming back. luckilly i personally know a mechanic so i trust him alot, and he'll show you what he's doing, not just keep you up at the front desk and act like your an idiot.
