    this is such a good song!! i always saw it as a macho-man confesion. he tries to be all manly an get mad at the woman who left him for taking all hiss stuff, but he's actually hurt and cries only when no one sees.

    This is a true story about Jim Heath, aka the Reverend Horton Heat. It's about his wife who left him as RHH began to tour relentlessly. His dog's name really was Smokey too. The Hendrix poster was on his wall in his make shift "practice" room. (Like the guy needs any!)
