where Dave was staying, in New York City, there was a HUGE Guess ad right outside the window of his apartment. everytime he looked out the window all you could see was this 20 feet tall poster of a girl in men's underwear....so he wrote a song about it. 'I'll wait til your love comes down...' kinda like when they take the poster down. pretty corny but hey, its Dave!

who cares about dave and eddie, this song is all about alex and the sweet drum fills.
Indeed, Alex does a real kickass job on this song. This is one of my favorite songs off of 1984, but then, the whole album is amazing.
This song is one of the all-time greats. It fits in an employment brochure, a political campiagn ad(if the daughter is hot-family photos), and yes church. Yes we all have struggled with our faith in God. It's like resetting the burner switch on an oil furnace-just hit the red one.
