You're Going to Lose That Girl Lyrics
You're going to lose that girl,
You're going to lose that girl.
If you don't take her out tonight,
She's going to change her mind,
And I will take her out tonight,
And I will treat her kind.
You're going to lose that girl,
You're going to lose that girl.
If you don't treat her right, my friend,
You're going to find her gone,
Cause I will treat her right, and then
You'll be the lonely one.
You're going to lose that girl,
You're going to lose that girl.
I'll make a point
Of taking her away from you, yeah,
The way you treat her what else can I do?
You're going to lose that girl,
You're going to lose that girl.
I'll make a point
Of taking her away from you, yeah,
The way you treat her what else can I do?
If you don't take her out tonight,
She's going to change her mind,
And I will take her out tonight,
And I will treat her kind.
You're going to lose that girl,
You're going to lose that girl
You're going to lose that girl.
If you don't take her out tonight,
She's going to change her mind,
And I will take her out tonight,
And I will treat her kind.
You're going to lose that girl.
If you don't treat her right, my friend,
You're going to find her gone,
Cause I will treat her right, and then
You'll be the lonely one.
You're going to lose that girl.
I'll make a point
Of taking her away from you, yeah,
The way you treat her what else can I do?
You're going to lose that girl.
I'll make a point
Of taking her away from you, yeah,
The way you treat her what else can I do?
If you don't take her out tonight,
She's going to change her mind,
And I will take her out tonight,
And I will treat her kind.
You're going to lose that girl,
You're going to lose that girl

Listening to the lyrics makes me wonder if John wrote it to himself...
I think this is John's little dig in Paul's direction regarding his treatment of Jane Asher. Brought up by his Aunt Mimi, John had a very conservative background famously marrying Cynthia when she became pregnant. Someone like Jane Asher would have been a girl he believed Paul should aspire to. Instead Paul used to get himself invited to judge beauty contests with himself as the first prize, and he since admitted, John disapproved.
I LOVE THIS SONG-WITH JOHN ON LEAD AND PAUL AND GEORGE SINGING BACKROUND AND CHORUS-EXCELLANT-ITS ALSO FEATURED IN "HELP!"(EXCELLANT MOVIE)
This is an excellent chorus song.
The background of Paul and George.."Yes, yes youre gonna lose that girl." Just perfect. Great harmonies.
Oh man...I grew up listening to oldies, and in first grade I had a HUGE crush on this eighth grader named Aaron Patrick...well, obviously, he didn't really know I existed or acknowledge me in any way. One day I saw him in the hallway and this song popped into my head! I just thought, in all my six year-old wisdom, 'He's going to lose me if he doesn't start liking me back!'.
Good times...
Regina, that kicks ass that in 1st grade you had Beatles songs popping into your head! Even at that young age you were probably too good for the guy ;-)
someone said they were gonna play this when i get married some day. that jerk.
i luv this song. maybe i'll have it played at my funeral! :-) cuz then they'd be losing me, and i'm a female.......
This song basically means that if you really care for a girl (if you're a guy such as myself), you should let her know how you feel and you should treat her well as often as you possibly can. Good advice I think.
