You Like Me Too Much Lyrics
You'll be back again tonight,
Telling me there'll be no next time
If I don't just don't treat you right,
You'll never leave me and you know it's true,
'Cause you like me too much and I like you.
But you haven't got the nerve
To walk out and make me lonely
Which is all that I deserve,
'Cause you like me too much and I like you.
I really do, and it's nice when you believe me,
If you leave me
And bring you back where you belong
'Cause I could't really stand it,
I admit that I was wrong,
'Cause you like me too much and I like you.
I will follow I will follow you
And bring you back where you belong
'Cause I could't really stand it,
I admit that I was wrong,
'Cause you like me too much and I like you,
'Cause you like me too much and I like you.

this reminds me of relationships in high school

this reminds me of any relationship. this song describes something that all relationships suffer from at one time or another.

This makes me think of a man who abuses his wife or girlfriend and taunts her, saying, "You could leave me, but you like me too much. You don't have the nerve." It sounds more arrogant than most of George's songs and that's why I don't really like it.

that reminds me of MY relationship....

I never paid attention to the lyrics..this such a beautiful song to sing..

Little Rachael:
I don't beleive the song is arrogant.
"To walk out and make me lonely which is all that I deserve"
Which is all that I deserve...no arrogant person would admit that they deserved to be lonely.

I love this song! It's nice to sing.

I think it's about a girl who repeatidly breaks up with her boyfriend, but realizes that she loves him to much. this puts the couple into a constant on-again offf-again relationship

The way I see it, he's been cheating on her ("treat you right" = "stop sleeping with other girls"), and she's kept trying to leave, but can't stop giving him second chances ("you never had the nerve" = "you really believe that with one more chance, I'll change"). So he thinks about the situation and realizes that he's been an arse for cheating, and begs her for one more chance - because they both really do like each other too much. And because he's figured out that he really does want to be with her, he'll do whatever he can to convince her that he'll treat her right.
So it's sort of like "god, I'm an arsehole, but I'll change - for you."

If George Harrison really likes the person he wrote this song to, he certainly is doing a bad job showing it. Saying that you love someone is easy, but actions speak louder than words, so it's more important that you prove that you love someone by being nice to them.
