The Way You Are Lyrics
Going far, Getting nowhere
Going far, The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
Going far, The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
The way you are
These fingers aren't my fingers
These hands are not my hands
No one sees and no one cares What gets broken
Not for rhyme and not for reason
What gets broken
What gets broken
Going far, Getting nowhere
Going far, The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
Going far, The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
The way you are
In the river my machinery
Slows to a heartbeat
Echoing ghost just laid by
Those who whistle while they work
Out of time and out of season
What gets broken
Going far, Getting nowhere
Going far, The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
Going far, The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
The way you are
Going far, Getting nowhere
The way you are
Going far, The way you are
Going far, The way you are
The way you are
The way you are
These hands are not my hands
No one sees and no one cares What gets broken
Not for rhyme and not for reason
What gets broken
What gets broken
Going far, The way you are
Going far, The way you are
The way you are
The way you are
Slows to a heartbeat
Echoing ghost just laid by
Those who whistle while they work
Out of time and out of season
What gets broken
Going far, The way you are
Going far, The way you are
The way you are
The way you are

its about ambitious, fake people who "get far" strategically in life, but are "getting nowhere" because you can't move on in life when you are constantly lying to yourself. You can't move on or grow emotionally when you are in denial.. Thats my interpretation anyway.
I think it's about going through some routines of the day that we sort of take for granted or don't care about, we sort of numb these things ("These fingers aren't my fingers, these hands are not my hands"), or maybe not us maybe those who have jobs that are routine and ... "In the river my machinery.... echoing ghost just laid by those who whistle while they work"... i think they are sympathizing with blue collar workers.
