Jealousy Lyrics

What do you want from me
What is it you expect
I have spoken my mind
From deep inside my soul

Behind the eyes
Is a place on one will be able to touch
Containing thoughts
That cannot be taken away or replaced

You want what is not yours
Jealousy
You want what you cannot have
Jealousy

Spiteful harsh words
It comes as no real surprise
Tell me
What you are

[Lead: Chuck, Andy]

I cannot understand
How you seem to exist
On what people create
For you good must turn bad

Behind the eyes
Is a place on one will be able to touch
Containing thoughts
That cannot be taken away or replaced

You want what is not yours
Jealousy
You want what you cannot have
Jealousy

I think it's funny that he says Jealousy is wanting what isn't yours. That's envy. Jealousy is the fear that what you possess will be taken from you.

i think the song is obviously about people that can't get what they want chuck's lyrics "Behind the eyes Is a place on one will be able to touch Containing thoughts That cannot be taken away or replaced" is suggesting i guess if chuck doesn't show off stuff that other people want and keep it secret nobody will know about it and become jealous it will be his secret i guess. just my opinion

"Behind the eyes is a place on one will be able to touch Containing thoughts that cannot be taken away or replaced"

This is referring to how nobody can have his thoughts or memories. Those are more important than the materialistic things envious people crave. By the way, Chuck confused jealousy with envy as it seems. AwkwardB1R pointed that out.

My Interpretation

This song is about a leper leopard who falls asleep whilst watching Trinny and Susanna's What Not to Wear on TV. When he wakes he is delighted to find that the programme now being shown is a documentary on the water-based amaeboids of Arrisynia. Unfortunately, he remembers that he has leprosy and looks round to see all his limbs have dropped off. Oh dear.
