Oh, oh
When the visions around you
Bring tears to your eyes
And all that surrounds you
Are secrets and lies
I'll be your strength
I'll give you hope
Keeping your faith when it's gone
The one you should call
Was standing here all along

And I will take you in my arms
And hold you right where you belong
'Til the day my life is through
This I promise you
This I promise you

I've loved you forever
In lifetimes before
And I promise you never
Will you hurt anymore
I give you my word
I give you my heart (give you my heart)
This is a battle we've won
And with this vow
Forever has now begun

Just close your eyes (close your eyes) each loving day (each loving day)
And know this feeling won't go away (no)
'Til the day my life is through
This I promise you
This I promise you

Over and over I thought (over and over I thought)
When I hear you call
Without you in my life, baby
I just wouldn't be living at all

And I will take you in my arms (I will take you in my arms)
And hold you right where you belong (right where you belong)
'Til the day my life is through
This I promise you, babe

Just close your eyes each loving day (each loving day)
And know this feeling won't go away (no)
Every word I say is true
This I promise you

Every word I say is true
This I promise you
Ooh, I promise you

I have become addicted to this song lately. It gives me comfort when I'm feeling down. Justin's voice and the others blending with him are just so soothing. Especially if you listen close, you can hear Lance's deep bass voice. That's what really comforts me. :'(

To "Jesusmyheartadoresu" I couldn't agree more. Ditto is't a strong enough word for how much I agree, and i want to add a little more. Although I am not a *NSYNC fan, and own none of their CD's, I will tell this story, and hope to touch someone.

When I was in 8th grade a long time ago I was not a Christian and didn't follow Christ. I was sitting in my bed, listening to a local rock station, at about 2 am. I was upset, depressed, and close to ending my life. I was sitting, and asked the stars, 'if anyone is out there, give me some clue that I'm made to be on this earth.' and, Honest to God, the radio switched and began to play this song. And, it fits, so perfectly, to how I feel, like God was singing to me through Justin. "When the visions around you/ bring tears to your eyes/ and all that surrounds you/ are secrets and lies/ I'll be you're hope/ I'll be you're strength/ keeping you're FAITH when it's gone/ the one you should call/ WAS STANDING HERE ALL ALONG" God it still sends shivers down my spine to think about it.. God is always there, He's just waiting for you to open you're arms and allow him to enter your life and change you for the better. That night, I fell to my knees and accepted Jesus into my life, and will forever thank *NSYNC for that, Amen. THank you. -J

adding to the 'not an nsync fan' group represented here, i do have to admit this is a sweet song...fits with what my Saviour has done for me...the world around me is falling apart, but He holds me in His arms where i belong..He has loved me forever, since the world began. from the moment he created the world, he had my face in his mind, heard my voice crying thousands of years before i was born....He has promised more than anything or anyone on this earth can evern imagine...he's already won the battle, people, we don't have anything to be afraid of...we just have to fight for him while we are here... sorry i got off topic once again...i get way too excited these days about God! bear with me i tell you the truth..God Bless you forever

This song has a couple of meanings for me. Every time I hear it, I think about when my uncle died, and when my deacon friend (longtime friend of the family) hugged me to comfort me at the funeral. When he hugged me, I felt like Jesus himself had his arms around me, telling me it was going to be OK. My second infatuation with this song is a certain man in my life, and I don't think I could ever live without his hugs and kisses.

I don't relate this song to religion (or any songs for that matter) only because I am not religious, but I can certainly see how this song could be related to God.

To me, it is about a person (any person- a mom, dad, sister, brother, a boyfriend or girlfriend) who is promising to stand by you and give you back that hope and faith in yourself that you've lost (for whatever reason that may be). They're going to be that person for you because you mean the world to them and they can't imagine life without you.

This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
