Something To Talk About Lyrics

people are talking . . . talking bout people
i hear them whisper you won't believe it
they think we're lovers kept undercover
i just ignore it but they keep saying
we laugh just a little too loud
stand just a little too close
we stare just a little too long
maybe they're seeing something we don't darling

let's give them something to talk about
let's give them something to talk about
let's give them something to talk about
how about love

i feel so foolish . . . i never noticed
you'd act so nervous
could you be falling for me
it took a rumor to make me wonder
now i'm convinced that i'm going under
thinking bout you every day
dreaming bout you every night
i'm hoping that you feel the same way
now that we know it let's really show it darling

let's give them something to talk about
a little mystery to figure out
let's give them something to talk about
how about love . . . love . . . love

let's give them something to talk about baby
a little mystery to figure out
let's give them something to talk about
how about love . . .

Nothing better than starting off a relationship firstly as friends!

This great song reminds me of a close friend that had been loving me (secretly) since the first time we met, and I never realized it until my (now ex-)boyfriend started getting suspicious and started some nasty rumors about us. Now I am happier than ever though, with my best friend-turned girlfriend! :)

Oh wow this is one of the best songs about loving your friend ever because the girl didn't even realise she loved him until someone told her! So cute.....

Cover art for Something To Talk About lyrics by Bonnie Raitt

We say, now all is ready And we turn our eyes sadly Seeking for something that is not with us Something we have not seen And that has not been ours But that is ours Because it might—have been We weep—already distant With our eyes likes seas against the wind and sun That struggle madly

They do not go They do not go They do not go But cry as the birds are crying

Open the balcony window The hour of illusion draws near The afternoon has gone to sleep—and the bells dream
