Time may take us apart, but I will still love you, I promise
Oh
Oh yeah
And when the stars, stars are falling
I'll keep calling
I promise that you'll be my one, my only everything

I'll never be untrue
And I promise that for all your love I will do anything
I will give you the stars, I will buy you the moon
Even through the longest of our nights

And even through the darkest days
Our love will find a way

And when the stars are falling
I'll keep calling
I will still love you
And when your dreams are fading
I'll be waiting
I will still love you

You were my summer breeze, my winter sun, my
Springtime soul (springtime soul), my autumn touch of gold, yeah
And you were my sky, my rain, the earth in which my love goes strong
The smile of my heart and the breath of my soul

Even if we find ourselves apart
We will hold our hopes and dreams
Forever in our hearts

And when the stars are falling (stars are falling)
I'll keep calling (I'll keep calling)
I will still love you (I will still love you)
And when your dreams are fading (dreams are fading)
I'll be waiting (I'll be waiting)
I will still love you

Tell me how you feel
I finally know how love feels
Tell me if it's real
And my heart tells me it's real
So real, so real
And when the stars are falling (stars are falling)
I'll keep calling (I'll keep calling)
I will still, I will still love you (I will still love you)
And when your dreams are fading
I'll be waiting (I'll be waiting)
I will still love you (I will still love you baby)

Time may take us apart, that's true
But I will always be there for you
You're in my heart, you'll be in my dreams
No matter how many miles we've seen

I promise you that I won't forget
The day we kissed or the day we met
The sky may fall and the stars may tilt
But I will still, I will still love you

And when the stars are falling
I'll keep calling
I will still love you (I will still love you)
And when your dreams are fading
I'll be waiting (I'll be waiting)
I will still love you

I'm completely with you on that, obfuscate. I, as anyone with half a brain, have grown to detest the pseudo-seductive rantings of Britney Spears and all her ilk--but there is something different about this song.

I first heard the song when my little sister, being the average pre-teen girl, was blasting the new Britney Spears CD she'd just gotten from her room. When she left the door open to go downstairs, I promptly stepped into the hallway to close it lest I lose any more brain cells. But then I heard this song playing, and guiltily listened to the rest of it.

I don't know what it is, but the melody of this song grabs me. The beauty I hear in this song seems universal, as though this precise melody has been with me my entire life (especially the chorus).

    This song is so beautiful.

I kind of understood it was about a long-distance relationship which was going downhill, but they are reassuring each other that no matter what, they'll always love each other.

well, friscles comment there was a bit idiotic, since im pretty sure they have no idea who britney really is.To say something like that is ill informed, naive, pointless and idiotic.yeah,im a britney fan,but im not gonna point-blank praise her, just like i dont think others should point-blank insult everything about her.none of us know her so arent really fit to comment on her personality,or feelings. this song, definately beautiful.Has that innocent, young love vibe to it,i think..know that relationship you have in your mid-late teens, where you reach say..a year/two year anniversary and just feel like you cant live without the person?where you feel in love, and committed..and..everything in this song

Funny story. I was commenting about this song on Youtube and wondering whatever happened to Don Phillip?? and he commented back so he's still out there hahaha weird that he looks at old britney spears songs but still.. I always thought this was a gorgeous duet between the two of them. Def bout a long distance relationship but they always find themselves getting back together

I'm a Brit fan and I happen to believe her first album is total crap.... except for this song!

I just love this song so much. I still jam this song, ten years later!

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
