No ones commented? Hmm, thats exciting. Well its Enrique, so its probably a song about his teenage lover. He knew her before he knew himself means that him, like any other teenager, wasn't really comfortable with himself yet when they had their thing. They both jumped into a relationship when they were both too young and he fell in love with her. But young emotions aren't really reliable and the girl left him. (Big mistake, now he is a fiery, sexy pop star) And because he was too young to maybe handle his feelings in a healthy way, he sort of pushed them to the back of his head, or heart, and he still dreams of her sometimes... or something like that.
