The Sheik of Araby Lyrics
Well I'm the sheik of Araby
Your love belongs to me
Well at night where you're asleep
Into your tent I'll creep
Aha
The stars that shine above
Will light our way to love
Ah you rule this world with me
I'm the sheik of Araby
Well I'm the sheik of Araby
Your love belongs to me
Wow oh at night where you're asleep
Into your tent I'll creep
Aha
The sun that shines above
Will light our way to love
You rule this world with me
I'm the sheik of Araby
Well I'm the sheik of Araby
Well I'm the sheik of Araby, yeah

has anyone else heard this song? where can I find it?
It occurs in various pre-EMI compilations - it was recorded at the Decca audition, and is a cover version of an ancient music-hall novelty number, with George singing. Don't know why they bothered.
You can find this track on:
Anthology 1 (1995) Track 17 Artefacts II 1960-69 (1994) Track 9 Original Decca Tapes (1991) Track 4
sheik, specifically the sheik of araby is said to be a man who has extreme power over women by his extreme atractiveness
i think that it is a very well played song and is the beatles simply having a good time - women literally fainted at their arrivals and i think it's just them having fun with the fact that yes - we have all girls at our beck and call and yes we have really revolutionized music as the world knows it
simply a fun song to listen to -rebeckah
