Like a Forest Lyrics
Black, like a forest
And still, like a lion
My knees are bended
We used to speak
A different language
I wasted my breath
On words soon forgotten
Left unattended
They're moving their feet --
But nobody's dancing
Ah, take your time
Ah, take your time
How can I blame you
For all of the screaming
That I've had to turn to?
Just in time
To go off in my hands
And still, like a lion
My knees are bended
We used to speak
A different language
On words soon forgotten
Left unattended
They're moving their feet --
But nobody's dancing
Ah, take your time
For all of the screaming
That I've had to turn to?
Just in time
To go off in my hands

I think this song is about unanswered prayer. "on bended knees" "wasted my breath on words soon forgotten" "take your time" etc Maybe this song is directed towards God
I love this song. Low's music is beautiful.
my favourite low song. i just saw them last week... fucking awesome show.
I've listened to this song hundreds of times, but it still sends chills up my spine. Especially the "to go off in my hands" part at the end. Reminds me of Radiohead's "Let Down" in that it's such a downer but you can't help but feeling triumphant at the end of it. Sort of a "fuck it" sort of feeling.
