At 13 - it's a magazine
Next to the pony-queen in the rain

At 14 - it's a daydream
It's a book that you read on the train

At 15 - it's a lazerbeam
It cuts to the core of your soul

At 16 - it's a favourite scheme
The prize & revard for the bold

And if ,while breaking your heart
You pry it apart, you'll find
That what was good for you then
Is good for you now
But your mind will tell you
It's too late
You missed it and that's your fate...

At 17 - it's not what it seems
A much stronger force than you thought

At 18 - you run out of steam
And wonder why you even fought

At 19 -...............................................

It all seems like a dream

If there ever was a song about teenage angst, it has to be this one. The person in the song describes the feelings he had when he was a teenager through certain images. From twelve to sixteen, he has a lot of strong emotions, but then in the break (and if, while breaking your heart) something happens and he is not so certain about everything he thought was true up until then. His teenage years end in something of an 'early midlife crisis' and for the rest of his lif he kind of has to make a brand new start. But he doubts the feeling he had in his early teen years will ever come back again.

This is a great song i could identify with very much. At 19 I really felt like it had all been a dream and the real world was going to begin.

It's mostly about the unicity of life as a teenager and how it's slowly taken away from us.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
