I never seem to find a reason
to let you in again, or forgive you
I'm sick of feeling like I need you
knowing I never did, but I miss you
Taking and breaking and hating
I remember all you said to me now
Faking, forsaking and failing
my memories are all stained again

Let me get inside your head
Let me show you I'm prepared
Let me stick my needles in
And let me hurt you again

I never reach my indecision
to let you see again all I give you
I'm sick of feeding your attention,
knowing I never did. I distress you
Taking and breaking and hating
I remember all you said to me now
Faking, forsaking and failing
my memories are all stained again

Let me get inside your head
Let me show you I'm prepared
Let me stick my needles in
And let me hurt you again

Fuck you for killing me
Me..
Fuck you for killing me
Me..

Yeah, let me get inside your head
Let me show you I'm prepared
Let me stick my needles in
And let me hurt you again
Again

Fuck you for killing me

It's called a metaphor, people. Just because someone talks about a needle or something else, they may not mean an actual needle. It could stand for something else. You have to interpret the song on your own, not let the basic lyrics let you believe something entirely off base. Everyone does that in songs, taking heart break or personal problems and creating beautiful lyrics with different words to stand in place of the simple ones. It's called having an opinion and using your head to work through the words and reading between the lines. It's not difficult and if you focus on thinking outside the box, you won't think every song is about an addiction and you'll see music in an entirely new way. Trust me.

I find this song a little confusing. The first two stanzas seem like she hurt him, and then in the third, "Let me hurt you again". I basicly think this is about this guy, who's life was this girl. And she left him...for whatever reason, maybe because he was hurting her. And now she's plaguing his head. And he want's to be able to get his chance...to get into her head, and fuck her up like she's fucking him up.

Also, does this not sound EXACTLY like Aaron Lewis? Shaun's voice is so amazing. He can sound like either Aaron Lewis or even better, Kurt Cobain ((like in Gasoline))...AMAZING

Uh.. read between the lines people. it seems like a song about a drug addiction, not a female.

Why do some people always assume EVERY song is about drugs or alchohol? I agree with ojuditho on everything he said.

Think it's about a girl and he says : " Let me hurt again" because if he still can hurt her, it would mean that she still loves him....he understood that she take him out of her mind now and that he cannot hurt her and that's why he's so despaired....that's my interpretation.....

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
