The band is tight and the song is great, a must have for a mix cd.
This song is my favorite by them. Definately great. The lyrics seems simple to understand yet I am not good at figuring out lyric meanings! Sounds like someone is not being who they really are, if they even know who they really are. Reminds me of my old best friend, she just went along with the crowd to be liked, and then again the "life passes you by" reminds me of how she wants to do so many things but is too scared to leave the comfort of her parents house in the middle of nowhere at the age of 28, so her life passes her by, I know she's not really happy. The title Hollow Man shows that too, they dont' really have anything to do or say that has meaning, they just "exist".
Describing me to a tee. You really can't understand unless you have really lived every single lyric. I don't really like the song all that much-but the lyrics keep me coming back, even if they are not "good" lyrics. Anyway, enough self-important emo-wannabe rambling from me. I'll go cry now, and stuff.
I heard this song a little after I made my ex-gf cry, it perfectly depicts the type of person she is (she cried to make me look bad, lol) things are somewhat-chill between us now so this song is actually pretty comical to listen to =P I dont ever want to be like her, EVER.
i think this song is a person hiding there true self the are disgusing themselves to be what everybody else wants them to be and never shows who they really are
this song (to me) is about someone who is aloof, and hollow on the inside, emotionless and all that stuff. they have no heart, and are hollow, hence the name hollowman. and the dude singin it (eeeeeeeeee!) does not wanna become like that. and this hollowman is some icy, mean dude who tries to be all the center of attention and always gets in the middle of things. this is a hard song to understand jus by the lyrics. u really also should hear the music too it, it adds to the meaning, but it rox. also u need to be able to realte to this. i try to make the songs that u hafta relate to easier to understand so ppl who cant relate can understand it too. overall, great song... i love it
Has anyone ever read the Hollow Men by T.S. Elliot, I think this song directly relates to that song. The entire feeling of the story is sad, and I think this song also carries that emotion. I do not think the song is directly about the story though, since there is very little to do with the story, however in the end of the song there is a reading from the auctual story. Maybe I am wrong, but if you like this song check out the Hollow Men by T.S. Elliot.

this song is about someone who is being untrue to themselves..and they'll never find who they are inside, you know. i think someone also once said it was relating to chris' relationship with his father. awesome song either way
