I'm not sure, but I think this song is a call to bullied suicidal kids to stay and fight. It reminds me of the "it gets better" campaign, which tries to stop gay kids from killing themselves in droves as teenagers.
Everything's fucked up. "tyranny exists shrink beneath the ingrown thorns forced to accept pledge allegiance to a flag" The order needs to be fixed "to have respect you must accept the world committing suicide".
So these kids, they're in a hostile environment "you must resist they want you dead". They crack, all the trauma hounds running to the road ("run to corrode"?) and getting splattered by cars. So some poor kid who's hounded and bullied to the point of ending his life, his suicide signifies nothing more than the rash act of an adolescent "helpless deaths ignored to be judged as juvenile". What do these kids say to condemn the flaws in the system? Nothing, they're fucking dead: "eternity keeps swallowing digested benefactors whose silence deafens anything"
Ogre appeals to the suicidal to stay and fight: "what's the point of giving up leaving won't change anything" "to push away all growth within puzzles me offers soul to nothing" In other words, live out your potential, grow strong and change the world around you, instead of quitting early and dumping your soul into the void.
Some live performances of the song have ogre singing through a hangman's noose, perhaps depicting the moment of contemplating eternity.
The lyrics are missing the last line "Do you respect a world committing suicide?" This last line really makes me feel the song is about marginalized groups that are crippled by american-brand imperialism. Populations that we traditionally choke off for their dissenting opinions. We strip their rights and devalue their existence; eventually killing them off in political chokeholds. Do we respect a world full of bloodhounds that kills humans off with blockades and embargos?
Ok I've figured out what this song means. You know competition in Capitalism AKA "the new world order" or whatever. Encouraged competition in education. Quote "We want to bring out the best for our future generation" Is what the board of education says. And the ones who cant make it commit suicide.
Ogre says "political resentment to push away all growth withing puzzles me"
And
"forced to accept pledge allegiance to a flag tested to forget ::::::you must resist they want you dead::::::"
Part of the song is a message to suicidal youths saying dont suck their dicks.
"helpless deaths ignored to be judged as juvenile head caves in"
Its about euthanasia put onto a nations population to kill off the "weak" and the "useless".
As odd as this may sound, I always had a suspicion that this is a pro-life song. Particularly the phrase "to push away all growth within puzzles me offers soul to nothing"
And
"the message screams it's purity that those with no rights display the right to have no life to have respect they must accept a world committing suicide, do you respect a world, committing suicide?" (i.e, a society killing themselves or their own). I have no particular agenda, just a thought.
The samples are awesome Here are some off the top of my head from this song "I don't wanna talk about it" "...a wee-bit small, but it will have to do" "I haven't given it a second thought" There is a rabbit loose in the castle, monster" ."mortem report doesn't change a thing. Your client is in jail, he'll stay there" "You can look at a thing like that as evidence of instability and possible suicide" "Never send a monster to do the work of an evil scientist" "Hah! Huh? Where? What? When? Why? How? Who? ... Oh. ... Phew!!" Okay yeah, only the first three were off the top of my head, but yeah. IIIII LOOOOOVE SKINNEH PUPPEH!!!!!
I think this song has something to do with society and people commiting suicide. Still thinking about what it all means though. Possibly its about society being so pressuring that the youth and the soft hearted kill themselves cuz they can't take it. I think what the guy is saying is that everyone is dying around him and society has held him back crushing his dreams and his happiness.
Again, I cant be too sure what it all means.
do you think their is any reference to euthanasa or geniside.
THIS SONG OWNS I LOOOOVE SKINNEH PUPPEH
