When they start falling executions will commence
Sides will not matter now matter makes no sense
How did a difference become a disease?
I'm sure you have reasons, a rational defense
Weapons and motives, bloody fingerprints
But I can't help thinking it's still a disease
Here comes the argument
Here comes the argument
Here comes the argument
Folderol
It's all about strikes now, so here's what's striking me:
That some punk could argue some moral ABCs
When people are catching what bombers release
Well I'm on a mission to never agree
Here comes the argument
Here comes the argument
Here comes the argument
Here it comes!

first ditto on the sentiment by lets kill music. anotherstupidpunk, fugazi does not mean fuck in italian. when ian was looking for a name for his new band he was reading a book about vietnam, and one of the guys in the book said fugazi, which was a nam slang word for "fucked up got ambushed zipped in" or a "messed up situation". and dont be ashamed to wear that shirt. fugazi is the greatest band in the world!
nope sorry fugazi doesn't mean fuck in italian, who the fugazi told you that???
By the way, Fugazi doesn't produce any sort of merchandise besides their CDs, so that shirt is bootleg. There's nothing particularly wrong with that, but I thought I'd just mention that... Unless you made it yourself, that's pretty cool then.
Yes, some of you guys are making the assumption that the industry would have left Fugazi's creative process alone, which is a pretty far-fetched idea. Fugazi did not remain indie for 15 years because they were stubborn; it was because they BELIEVED in things and didn't want corporations messing that up. Bands DO change when they become part of the establishment. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you've been spending too much time inside of it as well.
As for some people thinking Fugazi is "the reason so much mainstream music sucks ass," I don't give a crap about mainstream music or what people hear on the radio. I'd rather be part of a cult following than one of thousands of people who only know a band because they heard them on the radio. Besides, as far as I'm concerned, airplay is just some business men's opinions of which songs listeners should like best. I'd rather decide that for myself, thank you very much.
It's funny, I heard this song again a few days ago and the lyrics really struck me this time around... It was written before 9/11 and the Iraq war and all that but if it was written right now then it'd be doing a good job at depicting the events since 9/11.
I once read an essay on the internet about how fugazi (other indie bands included) were to blame for mainstream music sucking ass. It argued that if they didn't have so much self righteous integrity then the public could have had a much better intake of music and therefore none of the mainstream crap out today would be acceptable. I personally think that All GREAT MUSIC should reach as many people as possible. Even if that means that the artist might make some money.(as long as the music isn't tampered with by the industry of course)
well that essay doesnt agree with my opinion. but to each their own
i'm with you fungus...i hate when people say, yea i loved this band till everyone started listening to them now i dont like them anymore....wut?! a good band is still a good band no matter how many other people think so...
Wow I like how all these indie elitests won't listen to a band just because they're popular. What a load of b.s. Maybe if Fugazi got airplay then people would have access to their good music. Everybody deserves to hear Fugazi's awesome music, if Fugazi gets popular than the masses will at least be listening to good music instead of crap like Simple Plan and Fifty Cent. Popularity =/= music quality people, get off your high horse and stop being such stupid elitests!
soft voice, no f*ck you's, no "insults", but one of the most striking (no pun intended) songs. Superb! The lyrics and message are pretty clear. (it deserves some airplay) Nice work Fugazi! @black cow: thanks for the album submission
