Cry Lyrics
You don't know how to ease my pain,
You don't know.
You don't know how to ease my pain.
You don't know what the sound is darlin',
It's the sound of my tears falling.
Or is it the rain?
(You don't know.)
You don't know how to play the game,
And you cheat, you lie,
You make me wanna Cry.
You make me wanna Cry.
Cry
You make me wanna Cry.
You don't know how to ease my pain,
You don't know.
You don't know how to ease my pain.
Dont'cha hear any voices crying,
That's the sound of our love dying.
Here comes the rain.
You don't know how to play the game,
And you cheat, you lie,
You don't even know how to say goodbye.
You make me wanna Cry,
You don't know.
You don't even know how to say goodbye.
You make me wanna Cry---
You don't even know how to say goodbye.
You make me wanna Cry--------
(Cry)
Cry (x3)
You don't know.
You don't know how to ease my pain.
It's the sound of my tears falling.
Or is it the rain?
And you cheat, you lie,
You make me wanna Cry.
You don't know.
You don't know how to ease my pain.
That's the sound of our love dying.
Here comes the rain.
And you cheat, you lie,
You don't even know how to say goodbye.
You don't know.
You don't even know how to say goodbye.

Godley and Creme...they made, what MTV called, one of the top 100 most memorable videos for this song...but no one (except me it seems) seems to remember them. I can't even find their albums anymore.
hmm. i had never heard of them before, but it was on the music vid channel i watch and i always look up the lyrics to songs so that i can sing along- and this seems quite 80s(correct me if im wrong) and i enjoyed it.
Beautiful song...
A beautiful 80's song. This one is simply about being hurt by someone and how they have no idea of the pain they're causing. He mentions cheating and lying, and him crying because of it. Excellent song.
a classic 80's tune. used to great effect at the end of a season 2 episode of "Miami Vice". an episode that guest starred Ted Nugent, of all people.
