I love this song. I can really relate to the line "Somebody who isnt too cool to believe its okay to be just me" I have had so much trouble with just being me and I am trying to adjust that in this stage of life. This song is perfect for me :)
i know this is a little nit-picky, but the first verse should be, "would u b mad that i held the NEW me bk" shouldn't it? kinda makes more sense, its like hes saying r u gonn ab happy with the real me or will u b mad coz i dint show u, or mad that i did? its an amaaaaaazing song whatever the lyrics are, i relate completely, and great moody voice!
I love this song. I think it's talking about how this guy wants someone to like him and he's willing to change himself to please her. That is SUCH A COMMON SITUATION! Ughhhhhh! >.
sal i think the old me back makes alot more sense. This song is about the confusion this guy has right now. He likes himself, but whomever likes him doesn't like him the way he is. she wants him to be someone different, but he is wondering if he did change would she like him for him or like him for the new guy, he wants her to like the old guy, not the new guy, the end of the song he says is it ok to be just me.
