Afraid Lyrics
I got so lost on the shore
I wish I was taller
Things really matter to me
I believe we're not alone
I believe in Beatles
I believe my little soul has grown
And I'm still so afraid
Yes, I'm still so afraid
Yea, I'm still so afraid on my own
On my own
What made me feel so bad?
I used to wake up the ocean
I used to walk on clouds
If I can smile a crooked smile
If I can talk on television
If I can walk an empty mile
Then I won't feel afraid
No, I won't feel afraid
I won't be
Be afraid
Anymore
Anymore
Anymore

Correct lyrics below:
I wish I was smarter I got so lost on the shore I wish I was taller Things really matter to me
But I put my face in tomorrow I believe we're not alone I believe in Beatles I believe my little soul has grown
And I'm still so afraid Yes, I'm still so afraid Yeah, I'm still so afraid On my own, on my own
What made my life so wonderful? What made me feel so bad? I used to wake up the ocean I used to walk on clouds If I put faith in medication If I can smile a crooked smile If I can talk on television If I can walk an empty mile Then I won't feel afraid No, I won't feel afraid I won't feel, feel afraid Anymore Anymore (And then I just won't be afraid) Anymore (And then I just won't be afraid)

this is about afraidness of man's degradation

I love when he sings "I believe in the Beatles". I love the Beatles and it's always cool to hear others sing about them.

I had this song for ages before I really listened to the lyrics - I think it's about depression. I've been depressed, I'm on meds and it really strikes a chord with me. Little things - like not being taller - matter too much; you always feel afraid and alone. Plus you wonder what the hell changed - 'what made my life so wonderful', when I was happy.
I love this song because it's often exactly how I feel - I'm trying not to be afraid anymore, but I get so scared.

ithink he is reflecting on his past. which can be good or bad. and i think he fears the future.
i am only 18, so this song doesn't affect me, yet.

"I believe in Beatles" is a reference to a line from the John Lennon song, "God": "I don't believe in Beatles".
