Donut Man Lyrics

ON THE CORNER OF 5TH AND MAIN
BY AN OLD RIVERBED AND A RAILROAD TRAIN
THERE'S A SHOP NEAR THE TRACK
THE OWNER WORKS IN THE BACK
HE'S GOT A HOLE IN HIS SHIRT, A HOLE IN HIS SHOE
HE WALKS AROUND WITHOUT A WHOLE LOT TO DO
HE'S GOT NO CAR, HE'S GOT NO CLOTHES
DOES WHAT HE DOES
AND THAT'S ALL HE KNOWS

COZ HE'S A DONUT MAN
HE'S DOIN' WHAT HE CAN
HE'S HAPPY EVERY DAY
HE'S GOT NOTHIN' TO LOSE
HE'S FOUND HIS WAY
HE'S A DONUT MAN
HE'S DOIN' WHAT HE CAN
HE'S HAPPY EVERY DAY
HE'S GOT NOTHIN' TO LOSE
HE'S FOUND HIS WAY

FOR AT LEAST TEN YEARS AND A DAY
HE'S BEEN GOING IN AND OUT OF HIS WAY
TO GIVE WHAT HE'S GOT
THE LORD KNOWS HE GIVES A LOT
WITH HIS FORTUNE MADE AND MONEY DOWN
THE GIFTS HE GIVES ARE ALL OVER TOWN
ON HIS FACE A BEAUTIFUL SMILE
HE'S SENDING OUT ALL THE WHILE

COZ HE'S A DONUT MAN
HE'S DOIN' WHAT HE CAN
HE'S HAPPY EVERY DAY
HE'S GOT NOTHIN' TO LOSE
HE'S FOUND HIS WAY
HE'S A DONUT MAN
HE'S DOIN' WHAT HE CAN
HE'S HAPPY EVERY DAY
HE'S GOT NOTHIN' TO LOSE
HE'S FOUND HIS WAY

HIS CHILDREN GREW UP AND HE GREW OLD
HIS HANDS GOT SHAKEY AND HIS SHOP GOT SOLD
NOW MANY LIES AND THE STORY'S BEEN TOLD
THERE AIN'T NOTHING LEFT BUT A DONUT HOLE

COZ HE'S A DONUT MAN
HE'S DOIN' WHAT HE CAN
HE'S HAPPY EVERY DAY
HE'S GOT NOTHIN' TO LOSE
HE'S FOUND HIS WAY
HE'S A DONUT MAN
HE'S DOIN' WHAT HE CAN
HE'S HAPPY EVERY DAY
HE'S GOT NOTHIN' TO LOSE
HE'S FOUND HIS WAY

This song is about a man who was born without any real talents or gifts. The only way he can make money is by giving blow jobs to men, and he is very good at it. He doesn't make much money but he makes everyone happy from the donut hole that is his mouth. It's really sad that giving men blow jobs is the only way he knows how to live, but he has found his way.

that is not what it is about you fucking pervert. it is about someone who doesn't have much because they give everything they have to help the community. similar to my friend john who works at the local boys and girls club and for other charities, but hardly has enough money to live. fucking blowjobs! what's your fucking problem. pervert.

Sorry, I like the song, I just interperated it differently and thought that since "Donut Dan" by Goldfinger was about a man who gives hummer's to a man, that it might be some inuendo that I wasn't aware of. But nevertheless, I'm no pervert and I do like how he gives back to the community. And I like the Boys and Girls Club too. Sorry Hovergun.

And I don't appreciate being called a fucking pervert, I simply had a different view and I'm sorry if that's not how it's supposed to be interperated. You seem to know what your talking about so I'll believe you, I just think you should be less judgemental on my view. Thanks.
