Barefoot In The Dark Lyrics
rattlesnake shadow cast over the heart
forever I am there barefoot in the dark
they're beating that drum in the cemetery
my death lays awake there whistling dixie yeah
if this is hell well then I'm lucky yeah
my death's alive there just waiting for me uh-huh
my death's alive there just waiting for me
my death lays awake there whistling dixie
if this is hell then i'm lucky
rattlesnake shadow cast across the heart
forever we are there barefoot in the dark
they're beating that drum in the cemetery
my death lays awake there aaah whistling dixie yeah
if this is hell if this is hell then i'm lucky yeah
my death's alive there just waiting for me uh-huh
my death's alive there just waiting for me
my death lays awake there whistling dixie
if this is hell well then I'm lucky
barefoot in the dark
barefoot in the dark
barefoot in the dark
forever I am there barefoot in the dark
they're beating that drum in the cemetery
my death lays awake there whistling dixie yeah
my death's alive there just waiting for me uh-huh
my death's alive there just waiting for me
my death lays awake there whistling dixie
if this is hell then i'm lucky
forever we are there barefoot in the dark
they're beating that drum in the cemetery
my death lays awake there aaah whistling dixie yeah
my death's alive there just waiting for me uh-huh
my death's alive there just waiting for me
my death lays awake there whistling dixie
if this is hell well then I'm lucky
barefoot in the dark
barefoot in the dark

Beautiful song.. as all the rest
This is a awsome song thats all i have to say
this song, i believe is about how Dax sees the world and his past. I love it, because people always complain about their lives, and well, if this IS hell... then we are lucky. Because as much as it sucks, its not as bad as it could be. Just look around...
Barefoot in the dark, with your Death laying idly in the graveyard, whistling dixie? (Anyone else picture Neil Gaiman's version there?)
I think it says a lot about not knowing the outcome of life and death, and taking advantage of what you have whether it's hell or not. Maybe I'm just a chronic optimist, but my personal journal wouldn't attest to that.
If this is hell, if this is hell then I'm lucky... I weep for you boi..
