First Trip Lyrics

How long since I've seen you I don't know
It seems like 50 million years ago

I still think of you every now and then
And last words you said let's be friends
Yet I remember
Do you recall
I was the one you let inside
Your solitary room
I was the one who took you on
Your first trip to the moon

Just when you've been thinkin
You've got it all together
Here I am again looking through you
Wouldn't you think that this time
That we could get it right
You say that stuff so strong
And then you turn down the light
Cause you remember yea you recall

I was the one you let inside
Your solitary room
I was the one who took you on
Your first trip to the moon

And sometimes it's hard to see
Tomorrow through yesterday
It's alright to talk about it
But I'm here today

How long since I've seen you
I don't know
Do you remember
Do you recall
Well I recall

I was the one you let inside
Your solitary room
I was the one who took you on
Your first trip to the moon
There was a time I was inside
Your lonely, lonely room
I am the one who took you on
Your first trip

Cover art for First Trip lyrics by Nixons, The

the opening chords to this song are super fly. the nixons make use of some fresh lyrics throughout to top it all off. it's pretty obvious that a relationship keeps popping up on the radar screen of the singer. "here i am again" and "wouldn't you think that this time". it goes through long periods of nothing and then suddenly becomes something again. prolly the relationship was the girl's first "i was the one who took you on your first trip to the moon", or at least the first relationship that meant anything. to sum it up, it's a song worthy to sing in any shower near you.
