Bring It On Down Lyrics

What was that sound ringing around your brain
Today was just a blur, you've got a head like a ghost train
What was that sound ringing around your brain
You're here on your own who you gonna find to blame

You're the outcast
You're the underclass
But you don't care
Because you're living fast

You're the uninvited guest who stays 'till the end
I know you've got a problem that the devil sends
You think they're talking 'bout you but you don't know who
I'll be scraping your life from the soul of my shoe tonight

Bring it on down, bring it down for me
Your head's in a fish tank
Your body and your mind can't breathe
x2

You're the outcast
You're the underclass
But you don't care
Because you're living fast

You're the uninvited guest who stays 'till the end
You know you've got a problem that the devil sends
You think they're talking 'bout you but you don't know who
I'll be scraping your life from the soul of my shoe tonight

i don't think the lyrics are meaningless at all. beansch has it right, it's about the working class. very rebellious feel to this song. the album was great because oasis was "real," they weren't a bunch of art students pretending to be working class like blur were-- they sang about the things they knew about.

"What was that sound ringing around your brain Today was just a blur, you've got a head like a ghost train What was that sound ringing around your brain You're here on your own who you gonna find to blame" a description of what working class life is like.

"You're the outcast You're the underclass" self-explanatory. the working class it the outcast class because the upper class or the middle class do not care about them. "But you don't care Because you're living fast" self-explanatory as well, they're living it up anyways and not giving a shit about anything else.

"You're the uninvited guest who stays 'till the end" uninvited guest-- someone who is unwanted and not cared about. the upper/middle class does not care about the lower class. you in this verse = the underclass. "I know you've got a problem that the devil sends" again, you is the underclass of the verse. the devil sent a problem for you. the devil is the upper/middle class.

"You think they're talking 'bout you but you don't know who I'll be scraping your life from the soul of my shoe tonight" you think the upper/middle class are talking about taking you out and you do know who it is exactly, but you know when the fight happens (tonight) that you will be scraping their remains from the sole of your shoe. btw, should be SOLE, not soul.

"Bring it on down, bring it down for me Your head's in a fish tank Your body and your mind can't breathe" a taunting verse for the upper/middle class.

Don't know why but when i hear those lyrics all i can think is WOW!

I'd relate the lyrics to taking too much cocaine. The last line sums it up with style. The mix of buzzin elation and paranoia. A class above 'The Streets' attempts at conveyin this, and I think The Streets are decent.

Brutal. Brilliant.

could you please tell me what this line of lyric means~ thank you very much~

It means someone is in a very pissy mood...feeling victimized and wanting to lash out and hurt another. Excellent band, although of its groupies need to look in the mirror and direct all anger at the correct person.

Particularly meaningless lyrics IMO, however its still very much a rock n roll song that gives you the oasis attitude/swagger. cool as ice

This song doesn't really start until 2:48. From then on it's the definitive guitar/drum solo.
