And how come this song wasnt on here?? I love this song..sure its older..but hey its soo good! you have to love it when Tom Cruise sings it in "Top Gun". Great song, great movie.
This song is just phenomenal. Yes, it's old. Yes it's slow. And yes, it is a bit, well, girly. But that doesn't stop us! Since watching Top Gun, my mates and i have a long tradition of having a few drinks, putting on the Top Gun Soundtrack and this song gets a wokout. Look out Karaoke!
This song is one of my favorites. It somes up pretty much my entire love life. It really says a lot about life.

Just a short interpretation. This thought just came across my mind... that maybe by leaving out the line 'bring back that loving feeling' audience would have still gotten the idea of getting or bringing smthg back, somehow. Even though they've been just told otherwise by the song name. Smthg they might have recently lost.
From the opening line this song sets the tone for what is to come. About a man who believes the girl he loves no longer loves him.
