Black Diamond Lyrics
Out on the street for a living
Picture's only begun
Got you under their thumb
Hit it
Out on the streets for a living
Picture's only begun
Your day is sorrow and madness
Got you under their thumb
Whoo, black diamond
Whoo, black diamond
Darkness will fall on the city
It seems to follow you too
And though you don't ask for pity
There's nothin' that you can do, no, no
Whoo, black diamond
Whoo, black diamond
Out on the streets for a living
Picture's only begun
Your day is sorrow and madness
Got you under their thumb
Whoo, black diamond, yeah
Whoo, black diamond
Picture's only begun
Got you under their thumb
Hit it
Picture's only begun
Your day is sorrow and madness
Got you under their thumb
Whoo, black diamond
It seems to follow you too
And though you don't ask for pity
There's nothin' that you can do, no, no
Whoo, black diamond
Picture's only begun
Your day is sorrow and madness
Got you under their thumb
Whoo, black diamond

Black Diamond was written by Paul Stanley of KISS, and Performed by Peter Criss, although the first line is sung by Paul. Anyways, this song is written about Street hookers that paul often saw around New York City during the 1970's. in which, there are all the street hookers, but the one sort of, Queen of them all, is the 'Black Diamond'
I quite like this song
I'm afraid i dont quite see what the obvious reasons are... And Gene Simmons is amazing, if jsut a bit of a sell out.
OMG,KISS HAS BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE, I LUV THEM. THRU MAKE UP TO UNMASKED AND KISS REUNION. I HAVE MY GUESS ON WHAT THIS SONG COULD MEAN, BUT WILL KEEP IT TO MYSELF, AND ONLY CAUSE I DONT LIKE A LIL BIT OF THAT CONFLICTS OF SUMTHIN THAT IS REALLY NOTHIN.
i read in this book that it was their version of the rolling stones "brown sugar" except instead of it being some average whore it was the queen of whores
probably the best song Peter Criss has ever sung.
Black Diamond is one of the best songs ever. Watch the Winterland San Francisco 1975 footage. Simply amazing. Criss belting out the vocals while hammering drums is a sight to behold.
This song is CLEARLY about a prostitute!!!
This is about prostitutes in New York city during the early 1970's.
I've never heard the studio version of this song, but I've heard it live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and it is VERY, VERY GOOD!!!! Probably the best song on that album.
