100,000 Years Lyrics
I'm sorry to have taken so long
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
You mind if I sit down for a while?
You'll reacquaint yourself with my style
Well, how could you have waited so long
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
All this time you put up a fear
For a hundred thousand years
I'm sorry to have taken so long
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
All this time you put up a fear
For a hundred thousand years
And baby won't you let me
I think I'm goin' out of my head
I'm just about to, ooh yeah, ha
I'm sorry to have taken so long
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
You mind if I sit down for a while, would you babe
You'll reacquaint yourself with my style
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
You mind if I sit down for a while?
You'll reacquaint yourself with my style
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
All this time you put up a fear
For a hundred thousand years
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
All this time you put up a fear
For a hundred thousand years
I think I'm goin' out of my head
I'm just about to, ooh yeah, ha
It must have been a bitch while I was gone
You mind if I sit down for a while, would you babe
You'll reacquaint yourself with my style

The live version really does seem to last 100,000 years.
99% of Paul Stanley's tunes are about relationships... this one is no different. Maybe the title is from some science fiction source but the meaning of the song is a response to a demanding girlfriend. He's being a smart ass to someone, probably a girlfriend, who is always giving him a hard time about where have you been... Why are you late.. etc. and then will you please relax. Then once you relax and remember who I really am instead of your fears and insecurities we can enjoy ourselves and ooh yeah!!! I hope you all can figure that ooh yeah means...
i have the kiss box set, and theres a book that comes with it that has like 100 of their songs meanings, and this song is about an intergalatic space journey that lasts 100,000 years, and the guy is returning home. its rumored that Paul was high when he wrote it.
i thought that paul was as superclean as gene?!gene once said the only time he was high was when he was narcotized by his dentist...:-)

It's about an alien who went on a trip for 100,000 years, and is returning home.
has the best guitar riff of all time.
I like the live version's drum solo. "How many people over here like to get high??"
This song is awesome especially of the alive album its actullay about a book Gene Simmons (the bass player) read called 100,000 years where 100,000 we were visited by aliens and gene and paul wrote it as a astrounaut trying to keep a relationship while he is in space so u were some what right trsp
Love it and always have.
Great song, now as a Christian I like to out of humour think of it as the second coming of Christ even though it isn't. Either way, one of the songs from the 1974 album
Like someone already mentioned, it's a metaphor for space travel. It can be interpreted in any way though, like many other songs
