It did have a meaning at the time it was written:
Gene: I had a sense of what i wanted to write about, which was that guys work all day, bring home money, and the least the girl who stays at home could do is to support the guy. That was the intention, that perhaps he's worth twice as much as she is. But those were the early days. And as you move on you live and you learn.
"deuce" started out as the bass line for the rolling stones song "bitch"
This has always been one of my favorite KISS songs. But I have to admit the version Lenny Kravitz did on the KISS My Ass tribute album was pretty bad ass.
I think this song is about stools.
It is a little known fact that in testimony which wound up being banned from trial, R. Kelly cited this song as the initial inspiration for the fetishes which would up landing him in trouble with the law. There are less substantiated rumors that he played this song during the encounters.
I love the intro to this song it is so uneven and cooly
i agree w/ him.
Is all that spam really necessary?
Deuce was written by Gene Simmons (Bass player:KISS) Gene wrote it in his head while on a bus. It was originally written on/for Bass. Deuce means nothing lyrically, as Gene says "Sometimes stuff means a lot, sometimes it means nothing". Also, when Ace Frehley auditioned for KISS to be their Lead guitarest, he played Deuce as his very first KISS song. To this day it is his favorite KISS song.
Ace also said it has no meaning lyricly.
@schwingrocker I think he said that get your grandma out of here, means get your old fashion values out of here and have sex.

99% of all KISS lyrics mean nothing.
