Whoo, alright
My heater's broke and I'm so tired
I need some fuel to build a fire
The girl next door, her lights are out, yeah
The landlord's gone, I'm down and out
Ooh, it's cold gin time again
You know it'll always win
Cold gin time again
You know it's the only thing
That keeps us together, ow
It's time to leave and get another quart
Around the corner at the liquor store
Haha, the cheapest stuff is all I need
To get me back on my feet again
Ooh, it's cold gin time again
You know it'll always win
It's cold gin time again
You know it's the only thing
That keeps us together, ow
Whoa yeah
Ooh, it's cold gin time again
You know it'll always win
It's cold gin time again
You know it's the only thing
That keeps us together, ow
It means life sucks without liquor. Helps you sleep too. And be warm. And vomit.
Ace Frehley (X-Lead Guitarest:KISS) wrote this, but at the time he was still uncomfortable with himself as a vocalist and still shy, and so he suggested Gene Simmons sing it, Gene tried to make Ace sing it, but he insisted on Gene. Its Funny though, that hes singing about drinking, even though he has never touched a drink in his life
oh, Gene DOES drink. Not as much as Peter and Ace though. You see him with an odd glass of champagne or something casually. Or whatever
Yeah, he's said interviews that he occasionally drinks champagne or wine. As for the hard stuff, he's accidentally drank it a few times when someone in the band would hand it to him or something.
It's also weird how Ace would go on to sing.
Yeah, definitely sounds like a song Ace would write. Coming face to face with his demon but accepting that's the way it is for now. Love the raw sound Gene gives it.
