Blind in Texas Lyrics
White lightning moonshine, tastes like fire
I drank for free till I couldn't see
I fell on the floor, what I said is
I'm blind in Texas, the cowboys have taken my eyes
Had high-balls in Houston, three for a dime
Everything starts to spin, loaded on gin
I fell out the door, what I said is
I'm blind in Texas, the cowboys have taken my eyes
Corpus Christi and Waco, the Yellow Rose is wild
When the hoose-gow police decided to come round- they said
"Boy what's the matter with you, what you trying to do?"
I looked at the man and I said
I'm blind in Texas, I'm blind

Blackie wrote this song after being in Texas, I believe Houston for a week doing a gig down there, he absolutely hated how people were and the state in general, and especially the heat. The next week he was in a northern state (possibly Minnesota) and there was a terrible "blinding" blizzard, so he put Texas and the Minnesota blizzard together and came up with "Blind in Texas"

A drinking spree throughout the different towns of Texas. Sounds like something Blackie would have done in the 80s.

I just moved from Texas, and it sucks there. But this song kicks ass!

But I guess when you have a lot of money, and you're a famous rock star, Texas people will be nice to you. They kiss youre ass when it's conveniant for them, so no wonder Blackie liked it so much he wrote a song about it.
