It's just a simple line
I can still hear it all of the time
If I can just hold on tonight
I know that nothing
Nothing survives
Nothing survives
I think I'm turned around
I'm looking up
Not looking down
And when I'm standing still
Watching you run
Watching you fall
Fall into me

Am I making something worthwhile out of this place
Am I making something worthwhile out of this chase
I am displaced
I am displaced

And she's my friend of all friends
She's still here when everyone's gone
She doesn't have to say a thing
We'll just keep laughing all night long
All night long

Am I making something worthwhile out of this place
Am I making something worthwhile out of this chase
I am displaced
I am displaced

It's just a simple line
I can still hear it all of the time
If i can just hold on tonight
I know that no one
No one survives
No one survives.

who cares which ones are about Conor? I love Bright Eyes a lot but it irritates me that under every other saddle creek or saddle creek related band's lyrics people keep speculating if these bands are writing about Conor.

But maybe I am wrong and every song in existance is about him.

"I know that no one, no one survives"

Perhaps an obscure reference to Margaret Atwood's poem "Roominghouse, Winter":

I said, In exile survival is the first necessity.

After that (I say this tentatively) we might begin

    Survive what? you said.

In the weak light you looked over your shoulder. You said

    Nobody ever survives.

justaminorthing..way to jump on the bandwagon. "And I make it," is actually "am i making"..which would make "am i making, something worthwhile out of this place? am i making, something worthwhile out of this chase? i am displaced" one of my favorite lines of all time. too bad azure ray isnt on saddle creek anymore..i wouldve killed for a azure ray/bright eyes/rilo kiley show.

I have just made the best friend of my life, and this song is precious.

and i would love to see bright eyes/azure ray/rilo kiley... or even better son, ambulance....actually i'd settle for just one.... Australia gets NO BANDS.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
