Feelings that stick to me everyday
Using your footing, I can walk my own way
Swallow every word lied to me
Always reaching out to what you can't see
Suck up the guilt
Spill the innocence into formation
Another failure of creation
But then I take your path
Thru tears of pain & happiness -
I complete the task
Still I look in the mirror
And realize that I'm not all that I am

(chorus)
EVERYDAY I LIE TO MYSELF- DESPERATE, PATHETIC CRY FOR HELP
HATE WISHING FOR SOMEONE TO HOLD - A FAILING TRY TO ASSUME CONTROL
MY ATTEMPTS ARE KEPT AT FEW - STILL I WILL DO BETTER FOR YOU...
(end chorus)

PEOPLE THAT ARE BLINDED WUTH WHAT I HAVE FOUND
OR PEOPLE THAT THINK I'D LOOK BETTER FACE DOWN
JUST ANOTHER LONELY SOUL IN THE CROWD
JUST FADING - I NEVER COME AROUND
I AM THE ONE YOU NEVER FOUND (2x)

Just another faceless being
I'm just a faceless machine
Just another faceless being
We are all faceless machines

BUILT TO LIVE AND DIE
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE REAL LIFE? (2x)

(chorus)

Reaching out for any hand to hold
The beauty I see - the feeling can't grow old
Always seeking the bleeding
Killing the fake believing
Then I take your path
Thru tears of pain and happiness -
I complete the task
Still you look at me
And realize I'm not all that I am

(chorus 2x)

CHEWING ON FATE
TASTES LIKE DESTINY (4x)

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
