Out In The Cold Lyrics
I walked out in the street
Daydreamed for a mile or two
Staring at my feet like a working boy
Out of luck, falling through the cracks
Night rolled in, I turned back home
A hard wind at my back
There's nowhere to go
I'm out in the cold
I could not come around
I reached out to grab my keys
And tumbled to the ground
I thought of you starry-eyed, I wonder where we stand?
Did I just fall from your arms
Down into your hands?
There's nowhere to go
I'm out in the cold
I'm out walking 'round hands in my pockets
I'm out in the cold

I thought of you starry-eyed, I wonder where we stand? Did I just fall from your arms Down into your hands? ---------------I think he's referring to the relationship between God and himself.

Someone made a comment about the relationship between the narrator and God. I feel that I am "out in the cold" regarding religion/spirituality. I am no longer a conservative Christian, but I am not an atheist (contrary to popular belief, "ex-Christian" does not automatically mean "atheist"). There are intolerant, arrogant people on both sides, who try to convince others that their way is the only correct way. I guess I consider myself to be something like agnostic deist or ietsist...but I am never quite sure.
