We fought your wars with all our hearts
You sent us back in body parts
You took our wills with the truth you stole
We offer prayers for your long lost soul

The remainder is an unjustifiable
Egotistical power struggle
At the expense of the American dream
Of the American dream, of the American

We don't give a damn about your world
With all your global profits and all your jeweled pearls
We don't give a damn about your world
Right now, right now
We don't give a fuck about your world
With all your global profits and all your jeweled pearls
We don't give a fuck about your world
Right now, right now
Right now, right now

There is no flag that is large enough
To hide the shame of a man in cuffs
You switched the signs then you closed their blinds
You changed the channels and you changed their minds

The remainder is an unjustifiable
Egotistical power struggle
At the expense of the American dream
Of the American dream, of the American

We don't give a damn about your world
With all your global profits and all your jeweled pearls
We don't give a damn about your world
Right now, right now
We don't give a fuck about your world
With all your global profits and all your jeweled pearls
We don't give a fuck about your world

Right now, right now
Right now, right now
Right now, right now
Right now, right now

No flag large enough
Shame on the men in cuffs
Close their blinds

The remainder is an unjustifiable
Egotistical power struggle
At the expense of the American dream
Of the American dream, of the American

We don't give a damn about your world
With all your global profits and all your jeweled pearls
We don't give a damn about your world
Right now, right now
We don't give a fuck about your world
With all your global profits and all your jeweled pearls
We don't give a fuck about your world
Right now, right now
Right now, right now
Right now, right now
Right now, right now-now-now-now

(off topic/not about this songs meaning)

The band may be ticked, but I don't think "losing money" is the reason. The band has stated that: "These tracks are unfinished and don't reflect the group's high standards of recorded sound. We are disappointed that our fans are listening to anything less than the best possible recordings from System of a Down."

Knave, I think we're all getting tired of you saying the same thing over and over again. I truely doubt, based on interviews with the band, and their lyrics, that they are in it for the money.

I did listen to these songs when they first came out, before the band released the statement above. When I heard it (the statement above) I was upset that I did listen to them, but the band has made their decision about where they are going from here and there is nothing we can do now. There is no need to bring it up everytime a song from the leaked album is posted. You seem to think that because you "know someone who knows someone..." or whatever the #&*% it was, that YOUR reasons for listening to these songs are justified?

"...the bottom line is money nobody gives a fuck..."

sorry about the link not working... it still works for me. id post the lyrics for kitt but that song is so hard to understand, its the song where he chants in the chorus and says... "WHY?!????! as we light up the sky" hope that helps a bit. i wish the songs were small enough that i could email them to you cuz i got no life and a lot of spare time and i could do it that way. if you know another way i could get the songs to you id do it just um, email me at oxygen_wasting_poop_loser@hotmail.com if you know how i could do it. i hated it when i heard about the songs and people were being total dicks and wouldnt tell me how to get them and since theyre not releasing them anyway i wanna get them to as many people as i can. im gonna put them in kazaa too so maybe that might work.

they weren't going to release these songs inparticular, becuase they aren't finished, they are not mixed and mastered proprly as of yet, these were scheduled to be released over time, on singles and soundtracks. Now they have nothing. the fact that these songs got leaked is both good and bad, bad in the sense that now system has no songs to release, and the fans no longer have anything to look foreward to for quite a long time. good in the sense that this might inspire them to write more stuff, eh? hehe.

either way, it's tragic that these got out, even though all of us enjoy them greatly, I won't lie, i love the songs.

y'know if they still did release these on a new cd or soundracks, id buy it anyway, but really, they should have released Toxicity as a double disc with ALL of the songs on it, thats my opinion anyway, they were gonna get out sooner or later.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
