Setting sun can't shine now you're gone.
Inside sleeping, my heart beating.
You know that you tried to hide it.
Shouldn't you have said what you meant?
Time heals, time congeals around you.
Painless hours of endless motion.
Understandings, not demanding.
You can't hide what you feel inside.
Setting sun can't shine now you're gone.
Inside sleeping, my head beating.
You know that you tried to hide it.
Shouldn't you have said what you meant?
YOU LIED!
Inside sleeping, my heart beating.
You know that you tried to hide it.
Shouldn't you have said what you meant?
Painless hours of endless motion.
Understandings, not demanding.
You can't hide what you feel inside.
Inside sleeping, my head beating.
You know that you tried to hide it.
Shouldn't you have said what you meant?
For those that don't know, this is Justin Chancellor's (bass player of Tool) original, now broken up band. They did the original You Lied, which was covered and made more popular by Tool.
Just letting you know before you jump in and go all psychotic about it being under the wrong artist...
I like this version better than tool's except for the weak scream done at the end of it. Maynard does trhat YOU LIED! much better
They are a new band now. Suns of the Tundra, good stuff.
I haven't heard this version yet. I gotta here it
Why does it have to be about a woman?
To me, it seems as though this is about a broken promise, particularly a very intimate one.
