Animation
Breathes a cloudless mind
Fascination
Leaves the doubting blind
Until the circle breaks and wisdom lies ahead
The faithful live Awake
The rest remain misled

Some will transcend spinning years
One as if time disappears

Innocence faded
The mirror falls behind you
Trinity jaded
I break down walls to find you

Callow and vain
Fixed like a fossil, shrouding pain
Passionless stage
Distant like brothers
Wearing apathetic displays
Sharing flesh like envy in cages
Condescending
Not intending to end

Some will transcend spinning years
One as if time disappears

Innocence faded
The mirror falls behind you
Trinity jaded
I break down walls to find you

Beginnings get complicated
The farther we progress
Opinions are calculated
Immune to openness

Beyond the circle's edge
We're driven by her blessings
Forever hesitating
Caught beneath the wheel

Innocence faded
The mirror falls behind you
Cynically jaded
The child will crawl to find you

General CommentI love the last line of this song. Using "the child" to represent the pure innocence we're all born with is genius. Then, when we sin, the child of innocence begins crawling through to find our true goodness.

As a side note it may be interesting to keep in mind that a child crawling would never be able to catch up with a grown person. This may be a metaphor that once you've lost your innocence, it's gone forever.

General CommentI'm pretty sure this about Kevin Moore becoming more distant and separate from the group.

My InterpretationGrowing up. Loss of innocence and the feeling that the world is becoming all too real for the first time. Being annoyed with the occurrences in life that all adolescents go through when they begin losing their innocence. There really seems to be a straight and direct connection between title and meaning in this one, as the entire song references heavily to the process of growing up and slowly entering adulthood. Considering that Kevin Moore wrote this, he could have also been writing metaphorically about how his connection with the rest of Dream Theater was fading.
