hey! you do it all the time
hey! you do it all

so take a breath i know you're feeling jaded
talking about the time that you left me
naked and face down in the hotel hallway Dallas, TX 3am

but i know the telephone would ring
and you'd say all those beautiful things
oh how you do it all the time
how you get me on the line
with your explanation

hey! you do it all the time
hey! you do it all

and when the drugs wear off
you find you're not so tough
you think that you're so special,
that you're high above the rest

but i know the telephone would ring
and you'd say all those beautiful things
oh how you do it all the time
how you get me on the line
with your explanation

hey! you do it all the time
hey! you do it all

but now i know i've got the right idea
no one is ever changing me again, you see
in any little way
it's so amazing how the years seem shorter now i know
it's not what i'm used to today (x2)

hey! you do it all the time
hey! you do it all the time
(hey!) come on now you do it all the time
(hey!) you know that you do it all the time
(hey!) come on how you do it all the time (hey!)

hmm i was in a relationship that is exactly like this...so i love that someone else has lived through it and surrvived...hehe...i love that he realizes she is an idiot and realizes he should not have to be someone else for her to love him b/c if he does she doesn't deserve him!
