I've been in relationships like this. to me, it seems like it's about a completely codependent relationship, like he's saying... 'i'm gonna crawl back to you because i don't know what else to do, but i hate myself for it so i resent you too, but this is not how things should be.'
To me this song has a meaning of this.If you read the lyrics and listen to the song.He's trying to break up with his girlfriend because he's had to change everything about himself for her,but she hasn't noticed.And when He says "I don't want to be a Puppet for you",its meaning that He's her own little puppet where she can control everything about him,and he doesn't even realise it.And that He's waiting for something else while he's still with her,but he can't leave her because he doesn't know what else is out there
To me this song is about a controlling rlationship. one of those that you feel like you cant get out of for some reason. Like, you change everything about yourself for this person, but they are still finding things that are wrong. everything is still always your fault. its frustrating and you want out, but just keep giving this person more and more chances.
This new cd of Our Lady Peace is total different to me. It isn't anything like the older cds, kind of disappointing to me, butcha know what, they are still great! OLP FoREVER! ha! =O)

I gotta go against you on this RebeccaSaxon. While this CD definitely sounds different than Spiritual Machines, their albums NEVER sound the same. That's what makes OLP the best band around, in my opinion. Not my favorite, that's Weezer, but the most creative and most talented. They've made 5 albums in the last 6 years, all of which have been quite incredible, and all of which while still having the same overall, identifiable sounds and tendencies, have sounded pretty different from one another. They never get any better or worse, but they continue to grow.
I thought Gravity was better than Clumsy, although I havn't heard spiritual machines or Happiness and the Fish
this cd sucks.. go listen to naveed and happiness and sm... THEY KICK ASS ... i have been a hardcore olp fan for years and i have to say this cd is their worst
